THE HIMALAYAN EXPEDITION
For some, the Himalaya is a frontier against which to test themselves. Others find refuge and tranquility in the mountains, a place where they can seek their selves, perhaps even God. And over millennia, the mountains have cradled civilization itself and nurtured teeming, irrepressible life.
And for me,Himalaya was just an escape- "far from the madding crowd".

WHEN YOU LOOK BELOW THE SLOPE..!

(Finally TUNGNATH- world's highest elevation Shiva temple.
After trekking 5-6 kms through snow covered slopes, we reached there.The temple was half-covered in snow and was closed at that time of the year.During Mahashivratri, we went there.
Chandrashila peak (13420 feet)-where moon goddess adorns Lord Shiva's matted locks.
This
peak provides a spectacular view of Himalayas, especially Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and
Chaukhamba peaks. There are various legends associated with this place.
According to one of the popular legend, this is the place where Lord Rama meditated
after defeating the demon-king Ravana.Another legend says
that moon-god Chandra spent time here in penance.The Beauty of
Chandrashila is Incredible.
